Dogs Trust appeals for home for Snetterton’s smallest duo

Dogs Trust Snetterton is appealing to local dog lovers who might want to adopt their ‘smallest ever pair’ of inseparable pooches.

Short-haired Chihuahuas three-year old Aslan and six-year old Missy were handed in together and would love to stay that way in their new home.

The team at Dogs Trust Snetterton have nicknamed them the ‘tiny twosome’, as they are one of the smallest pooch packages they have ever seen. Weighing in at 1.8kg and 1.6kg each, they weigh roughly the same as a bag of sugar each, so the team at the centre are hoping the right person can make room for them – they certainly won’t take up too much space.

Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Snetterton, Diane McLelland-Taylor, commented: “This pint-sized pair may be small, but what they lack in size, they make up for in personality. They aren’t too keen on other dogs, but they are keen on each other and have been totally inseparable since arriving at the centre. They would benefit from a quiet home, away from other dogs and too many other people.

“Aslan can be shy at first but, once he gets to know you, he will happily snuggle up next to you on the sofa. Missy also loves to curl up on a lap and loves a tasty treat or two and playing with soft toys. The biggest love of her life though, is Aslan.

“We are hoping a lovely new owner will find space in their home and on their laps for this inseparable pair.”

Missy and Aslan would like a home with a secure garden and adopters who can be around most of the time to help them settle in. They could potentially share their home with one child aged 14 years or older but would prefer a quieter household.

Both Missy and Aslan are typical of their breed and like the sound of their own voices. Can you offer this sweet pair a loving home?

If you think you have room for two, you should call the Dogs Trust Snetterton rehoming centre on 01953 498377, or go to www.dogstrust.org.uk.
