Large doggy duo prove size doesn’t matter

Dogs Trust Kenilworth is hoping to find big hearted owners with an equally large sofa for a doggy duo who weigh in at 90kgs.

Crossbreeds Charlie and Lola are both seven-years old and arrived at the Honiley-based rehoming centre in December through no fault of their own. The pair are devoted to each other as they have lived together since they were eight weeks old.

Staff at the rehoming centre say the duo are looking for an owner who can offer double the love and give this adorable duo a forever home.

Weighing a whopping 50kg – the equivalent of a large baby rhino – Lola is a gentle giant with plenty of love to give. Charlie is more sensitive and relies on Lola for confidence, but together they are a fantastic and instantly friendly with everyone they meet.

Alison Creaton, Rehoming Centre Assistant Manager at Dogs Trust Kenilworth, said: “Charlie and Lola are absolutely sweethearts and adore each other so we’re looking to rehome them together. They are very attached and will happily spend endless hours with each other going for walks, exploring and snuggling and snoozing together.

“Taking on a doggy duo, especially two large breeds, can be extremely rewarding – whilst it’s double the responsibility, you’ll also find that it’s double the love, and you’ll certainly get that from these two.

“Charlie and Lola enjoy the company of human and other dogs and could live with children over the age of eight. They have lived in a home previously so are housetrained and would be happy to be left for a couple of hours. Once they’ve gained their confidence, they will be loving and loyal companions.”

If you think you may have the space in your heart and your home for Charlie and Lola, please call Dogs Trust Kenilworth on 0300 303 0292 or visit www.dogstrust.org.uk
