PitPat announced as official partner of The Great Dog Walk

PitPat has today announced their partnership with The Great Dog Walk, as the official Health and Fitness partner.

PitPat, the UK’s leading dog activity monitor, continue their mission to get Britain’s dog owners as excited about walkies as their dogs are.

For every person that takes part in one of The Great Dog Walk events, £1 will be donated to pet charity, Blue Cross, helping to change the lives of both pets and their owners for the better; finding new families for homeless pets, providing free veterinary treatment and educating the public in the responsibilities of animal ownership.

Alternatively, participants can choose to donate to another charity close to their hearts, giving back to the pet community whilst having fun. So, sign up now to take part in the walk as a personal challenge, to raise money or simply to enjoy a great day out with your pup.

There are two Great Dog Walk events taking place before the end of this year. The first takes place at Loseley Park, Guildford on Sunday 6th October, followed by one a Ragley Hall, Alcester on Sunday 20th October.

Participants can choose to walk wither 2k, 5k or 10k with no pressure to decide on their distance when they register, they can simply choose on the day.

Delicious Doggy Dinner will be serving up some tasty treats where dogs can rehydrate and relax. A number of pawsome photo spots will be positioned along the way for people to capture the perfect picture of themselves and their furry friend.

PitPat will be taking along their infamous ‘Bubbles Bar’ – providing a glass of prosecco or ‘pawsecco’ exclusively for PitPat members.

Nicole Cooper, Manager of Fitz All Media, said: “We love the thought of ‘dogs doing it for dogs’ – The Great Dog Walk is a great opportunity for people to raise money for their furry friends who are still waiting to find their forever homes.”

Andy Nowell, CEO & Founder of PitPat said: “We are delighted to be partnering with The Great Dog Walk, continuing to raise awareness of our mission to get dog owners as excited about walkies as their dogs are. With over 50% of the UK’s dogs being overweight, PitPat helps owners to manage their dog’s exercise and weight in a fun and simple way and is designed to reassure, remind and reward dog owners for maintaining their dog’s health and fitness for life. The Great Dog Walk is a fantastic example of the enjoyment and fun of walkies, both for you and your dog.”
