Come woof, come all to festival for four-legged friends

Dogs Trust Evesham staff are hoping to meet up with former residents when DogFest West heads to Cirencester Park next weekend.

This year Dogs Trust, the UK’s largest dog welfare charity which cares for around 14,000 dogs every year, is the charity partner for the dog-focused festival and will be welcoming dog lovers, potential owners and ex-residents with their forever families to the Dogs Trust Village at the event on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th September.

Claire Joselin, Events Co-ordinator for Dogs Trust, said: “We are so excited to be at DogFest this year and would love it if ex-residents and their owners came to see us! It’s always wonderful to see dogs with their families and this is a great opportunity for that to happen, as well as for them to join in all the fun.

“Plus, we will have lots of information about how people can get involved with Dogs  Trust, such as volunteering at one of our centres or becoming a foster carer and we will of course have information about dogs like Megan, who is at Dogs Trust Evesham, who are still looking for their forever homes.”

The Dogs Trust Village will have games, goodie bags and gifts as well as a raffle and tombola and the chance to get a temporary Dogs Trust tattoo. There will also be Dogs Trust experts on hand talking about how owners can help their dogs have a stress-free firework season and cope being home alone, as well as demonstrations of how to make easy toys and games to keep your dog’s mind active.

The festival includes a fun dog show, 2km and 4km Big Dog Walks, activities including hide and seek and dog diving as well as dog displays in the main area and the opportunity to celebrate dogs who work to keep people safe, protected and happy.

Nicole Cooper, Managing Director, Touchpoint Live Media, said: “We are so excited to be able to open our gates to the public and let them enjoy the delights of our gorgeous country estates playing host to a huge selection of fun activities for those on two and four legs alike. From dogstacles courses, to puppy walks, dog diving to pawsome retail therapy, DogFest has it all.

“The ultimate dog’s day out is back and yet again we are thrilled to be partnering with the nation’s largest dog charity Dogs Trust who make the world a better place for our beloved pooches. We’ll see you there!”
