Company of Animals wins Silver at 2018 PetQuip Awards

Dog Training and accessories company, The Company of Animals is celebrating after winning Silver at the prestigious PetQuip awards.

The company won Silver in the ‘Marketing Project of the Year’ category at the awards, which each year celebrate the industry’s latest innovations and best practices in all things pet.

Company of Animals was recognised for its efforts in taking a new and contemporary look as part of a rebrand, which began back at the start of 2017.

As an international player in its sector, the company set out to create a brand that embraced and delivered upon the rapidly changing consumer dynamics of the global pet industry.

The new brand and packaging was revealed in full at the PATS Show, Telford, ahead of the PetQuip awards. As the ceremony, the project was highly commended by the trade and judges alike and received fantastic feedback from all.

As part of their marketing initiative, Company of Animals carried out in-depth consumer research with 2,000 dog owners around the globe to get to the root of their buying habits and into their hearts and minds.

Working with strategic design agency, Springetts, the company began redeveloping its corporate identity centred around its core values of improving relationships between people and their dogs. Corporate identities were created for a range of its training and behaviour brands – Halti, Baskerville, Pet Corrector and Clix.

Through the project, the brand retained the very best of its heritage while incorporating graphics and eye-catching logos. Company of Animals aimed to take its consumers through its evolution and embraced a ‘think global, act local’ strategy.

As part of this it expanded on pack languages to support international growth, created clear and simple information for dog owners to understand and even used icons to support clear communication on products.

The information and icons will appear in retail from February as part of new and improved packaging set to phase out unnecessary plastics and reduce its environmental footprint.

Vicky Benneworth, Marketing Manager at Company of Animals, commented: “We are delighted to be recognised on such a converted platform and could not be more excited to take our new look to consumers all around the world. It has been an incredible journey to really understand how our products can help owner-dog interaction. None of this would have been possible without our fantastic team who have worked diligently to bring this project into reality. We are really looking forward to the exciting times ahead.”
