Orvis UK launch the ‘We Love Dogs’ virtual festival

Orvis UK has launched its first virtual ‘We Love Dogs Festival’, which takes place Friday 12th June until Sunday 28th June.

Following the success of the inaugural ‘Orvis Virtual Mayfly Festival’, celebrating a special time of year for angler’s in the UK and removing the barriers for beginners into fly fishing, Orvis UK are turning their attention to the celebration of dogs.

At the core of Orvis’ company values is its passion for dogs, from its dog-friendly Headquarters to its We Love Dogs in-store events around the country.

The interactive festival which takes place on the @OrvisUK social media channels will bring together experts from across the industry, as well as offering downloadable, fun activities for children and competitions.

There will also be more information on Orvis’ famous dog beds, unrivalled for quality and made with care in the UK’s chalk stream hub, Hampshire.

The schedule includes speakers offering a range of different advice pieces, Q&A’s, live interviews and training tips to assist new dog owners and those interested in learning more:

  • Mark Thompson of The Dog House – Professional Trainer
  • Dr Roger Mugford – Author, Educator and Animal Welfare Advocate
  • Janet Menzies – Professional Trainer and Author
  • Adrian Woolford – Orvis UK Managing Director
  • Gundog Journal Magazine

Brian Campbell-Kearsey, Marketing Director at Orvis UK said: “As a company, we love dogs and want to communicate the many benefits they bring. Dogs are a key part of our lifestyle and we love them like family members – when it came to choosing the name for this festival, the bold statement of ‘We Love Dogs’ just fitted.”

We decided to launch the first ‘Orvis We Love Dogs Virtual Festival’, during this difficult time, to celebrate and offer interesting content during lockdown. We hope this will be a fun and educational fortnight for our customers and followers.”
