Pamper-loving pooch seeking new home

A four-year old Labrador Cross is looking for a new home that will provide her with clam surroundings and cater to her love of attention and pampering.

Dogs Trust Basildon is currently home to Clover who is a particular fan of hydrotherapy on site at the rehoming centre, which is used as a tool for enrichment rather than medical reasons.

Aside from loving the water, Clover especially enjoys towel-drying, a bit of a massage and quiet time with her favourite canine carers.

The centre has worked hard to combat her nerves when it comes to meeting new people, and she has progressed very well. Numerous off-site visits have also helped her to become desensitised to new environments.

Dog Trust Basildon’s Rehoming Centre Manager, Lisa Cooper, said: “Clover loves her spa days, her favourite activity combined with her favourite people really helps her to relax and she is coming on more and more each day. She creates bonds with people, but they need to give her time and understanding to build this up slowly – she will be a forever friend to her new owner once she gets to know them.”

The centres advise that the ideal home for Clover would be in a rural location with a garden she can call her own, without any other pets as she likes to be the centre of attention. Any prospective new owners will need to visit her a few times at the rehoming centre before they can take her home.

If you would like to offer Clover the forever home she would love, you can contact Dogs Trust Basildon on 0300 303 0292.
