The RSPCA held their annual Honors ceremony last night, which saw assistance dog, dedicated staff and young fundraisers awarded for their dedication.
The RSPCA Honours Ceremony was hosted by newsreader Alastair Stewart OBE and attended by celebrities including Kate Lawler, Jo Brand, Peter Egan and Deborah Meaden.
The awards ceremony is an opportunity to recognise and honour all people and organisations that help to make the lives of animals better; through kindness, courage, determination and innovation. 
Thirteen awards were given out on the night including to comedian John Bishop, who was awarded Celebrity Animal Champion of the Year who spoke via video message of his extensive collection of rescue animals including dogs, chickens, pigs and alpacas.
The Queen Victoria Gold Award was presented to Eric and Edna Grover, who have been branch managers at RSPCA North West Kent for 50 years.
Elgin, an assistance dog trained by Canine Partners who regularly saves her owners life was give an Animal Award of recognition of her work.
Attendees and their dogs did not miss out on the football either, as guests were able to cheer on England in the second half on a big screen.
Deputy Executive, Chris Wainwright, said: “The RSPCA Honors is a fantastic event that the RSPCA is extremely proud of. The evening showcases the work of those who go to the extra mile to show compassion and dedication to animals.”
