RSPCA show off their Spooktacular pets in need of homes this Halloween

The RSPCA highlight some mysterious moggies and petrifying pups who are hoping to be ‘treated’ to a new home this Halloween.

The RSPCA takes in more than 100,00 animals every year and has thousands of pets looking for a new home at any one time.

This Halloween they show off some of the pets who are hoping to get the new home they deserve including, Mr Pumpkin, Ghost and Cobweb.

Ghost is looking for a special place to call home this Halloween.

Mr Pumpkin is a beautiful golden oldie available for rehoming at RSPCA South Godstone in Surrey. He is 14-years old and would like to live out his twilight years in a loving home and adores human company and attention. He loves nothing more than a nice groom and brush and is partial to his favourite cat treats. He is looking for a quiet retirement home to take root and would prefer older secondary school children and no other pets.

Ghost is a five-year old Husky and currently lives at Black Hat Lane at RSPCA Little Valley Animal Shelter in Exeter. He has not had the best start in life and is now looking for committed and understanding owners who can build his confidence as he can be quite unsure about any formal handling such as vet checks, so will need patient owners who can gently get him used to this at his own pace. Ghost could possibly share his home with a gentle female dog, but would also be happy to be the only pet and any children in the home would need to be teenage and sensitive to his needs. He would not be able to share his home with any cats or small furries.

Cobweb is a handsome two-year old male cat who was abandoned within a property and left to fend for himself. During the day Cobweb prefers to hide and emerge out of his hiding spot when the other creatures go ‘bump’ in the night. Cobweb is wishing upon every broomstick, that he finds a safe outdoor environment, where he can come and go as he pleases. He would be happy to share his space with other cats, providing there is plenty of space to capture as his own.

Pumpkin is a young Staffordshire Bull Terrier who was taken into RSPCA care due to concerns for her welfare. She is currently waiting for her forever home at RSPCA Blackberry Farm in Aylesbury. Pumpkin is a happy-go-lucky dog who is responsive to people and just loves everyone she meets. Being a young dog, she does need a lot of training but anyone who takes on Pumpkin would truly have a friend for life. She can live with children aged 7 plus or another dog but unfortunately no cats.

If you think that you can offer any of the above Spooktacular pets a loving new home or any pets currently in RSPCA care you can visit www.rspca.org.uk/findapet.
