Christmas is just around the corner and kids across the country are beside themselves with excitement, but it’s not just children that can’t wait for the big day.
Sofa and carpet specialist, ScS ran a competition to find the UK’s most festive pets, and now after more than 250 entries, the 15 pets that would give Buddy the Elf a run for his money, have been revealed.
Alvin the Dalmatian Labrador cross was crowned the winner for spreading Christmas spirit and generously sharing candy canes with his human. A perfect little helper for Santa Paws.

Having crowned the UK’s most Christmassy pet, Alvin has won a brand-new Keswick three-seater sofa from ScS.
Alvin’s owner Kali comments: “Alvin really does spread the joy wherever he goes, which is what Christmas is all about, so to be crowned the most Christmassy pet in the country is just wonderful.”
Dale Gillespie, Head of Acquisition at ScS said: “We wanted to spread festive cheer this year, and what better way to do that then by sharing the cutest photos of Christmas-loving pets. We had more than 250 entries to the competition, and it was tricky to narrow it down, but we thought that Alvin truly represented the Christmas spirit.”
ScS have also revealed the 14-runners up from the competition, all just as excited about the big day as Alvin is.
