We’re giving away a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children under 16) to a DogFest date of your choice: Cholmondeley Castle (Cheshire, 16 –17 June), Ashton Court (Bristol, 23 –24 June) & Knebworth (Hertfordshire, 7 –8 July).

With even more ‘have-a-go’ activities for your dog, this year’s superb line-up includes the frenetic dog sport of Flyball; agility, training and obedience sessions and watery hilarity with Dog Diving. Also available to try are the Hay Bale Race, sponsored by Eukanuba and SmartBones, and crowd favourite Temptation Alley, sponsored by Butcher’s (where dogs’ resolve is tested: snacks vs: owners’ commands), plus so much more to keep dogs entertained.

Highlights of these exciting festivals include the School 4 Dogs arena, the Dogs with Jobs area, the super exciting Fun Dog Show and the ever-popular Great Dog Walk.

The School 4 Dogs ring is where even the most disobedient dog can become a teacher’s pet! Watch demos from dog experts and trainers, including Lucy Heath of Britain’s Got Talent fame. Other popular behaviour workshops in the line-up include Puppy School, obedience displays and teaching your dog to perform using props.

The Dogs with Jobs area will feature a thrilling cast of dogs who work for a living; recently announced organisations include Medical Detection Dogs – who can detect life-threatening conditions such as cancer and Parkinson’s through scent, Search Dogs Buckinghamshire – who assist local police forces in their search for missing people and the award-winning dogs of the Essex Fire Brigade, who have been trained to detect the scent of live casualties following fires. Visitors can gain insight into these remarkable dogs and how they are trained.

The brilliant Fun Dog Show, sponsored by the RSPCA, will host various classes as the extremely popular Fun Dog Competition returns.  It’s open to all visiting dogs.  Categories include Best Rescue Dog, Golden Oldie, Cool Pup and Happiest Dog at The Show. Entrants compete daily to win the coveted Best in Show rosette! Applications to compete open at the beginning of May via www.dog-fest.co.uk.
