Do you know an Animal Champion worthy of winning a top award?

The RSPCA is asking people to nominate their Animal Champions for the 2020 RSPCA Honours.

The RSPCA Honours celebrate the work of those who devote their lives to animals, amazing assistance pets who help their owners lead better lives and incredible animals who overcome unimaginable neglect, suffering and adversity.

Last year’s winners included teens Kyra and Sophie who set up their own hedgehog hospital, gorgeous Canine Partner dog Ethan who assists with his owner’s medical needs, canine blood donor Romeo, and pony Elsa who survived life-threatening burns to become a campion at a national horse show.

The StreetVet initiative was also honoured for providing free accessible veterinary healthcare to pets of homeless people across the UK, among other individuals and groups who have all dedicated themselves to improving the lives of all sorts of animals, such as police sergeant Kevin Kelly who tackles wildlife crime and welfare group Crustacean Compassion, dedicated to protecting animals lie crabs and lobsters.

The RSPCA Honours is an opportunity to recognise and honour people and organisations that help to make the lives of animals better through kindness, courage, determination and innovation.

Awards are given for everything from outstanding service to animals, exceptional contributions to animal welfare, heroic rescue stories or the amazing feats or bravery of the animals themselves.

If you know a very special person or animal worthy of winning one of the eight prestigious awards, you can visit www.rspca.org.uk/honourspr to nominate them now.

Nominations are open online from 6 January to 13 February, and entries will be reviewed by a panel of famous faces including Deborah Meaden.

Winners and nominees will be invited to the glitzy red-carpet award ceremony held at 8 Northumberland and 16 July, where celebs and animals champions will be in the audience to celebrate their fantastic achievements.
