Burgess Pet Care’s Sensitive Dog Food secures listing with another major supermarket

Burgess Pet Care is delighted to announce that it has secured its second major supermarket listing in as many months for Burgess Sensitive dog food.

The complete range of Burgess Sensitive, comprising 2kg bags in Puppy, Lamb, Salmon, Turkey, and Senior, has today landed on Asda’s shelves, initially across 161 stores nationwide.

The news follows the announcement last month that Burgess secured its first major supermarket listing for the Sensitive range across 195 Morrisons stores.

Peter Lancaster, head of marketing at Burgess Pet Care, said: “Following a rebrand of the range in 2021, Burgess Sensitive – which offers super-premium nutrition at an affordable price for dog owners – continues to perform well in the competitive pet food sector, with sustained 20% growth for the range this year.

“Burgess’ research shows that the vast majority of dog owners (89%) have had the unpleasant experience of having to pick up their dog’s runny poo; our customers tell us that Burgess Sensitive really helps to alleviate this problem, whilst also improving dogs’ overall gut health. Independent research also found that the word ‘Sensitive’ strikes a chord with dog owners and shoppers; 77% of dog owners describe their dog as ‘Sensitive’ (Burgess Panel data).”

“Having secured a major listing with Morrisons just last month, we are delighted that Asda is now stocking the complete range of Burgess Sensitive, including our key life stage products, Puppy and Senior. We feel confident that the brand will continue to go from strength to strength as a growing number of dog owners realise the benefits of feeding a balanced, nutritional diet that is formulated to be gentle on dogs’ tummies and is made without many of the main ingredients that cause intolerances in dogs.”

The Burgess Sensitive range is also available in multiple online and independent pet shops across the UK.
