Goood for your dog – goood for our planet

The first full sustainable brand of dog food with recyclable packaging is launched in the UK.

Goood – sustainable premium dog food is the first sustainable brand of dog food launched in the UK with a full range of products from puppy to senior.

The premium sustainable dog food is sourced from certified free range or organic farms and is packaged in the world’s first ever two-part materially recyclable dog food packaging.

Goood’s belief is that every animal should live as closely as possible to their natural state, which is why their meat comes from only certified free range or organic farms and their fish is sustainably caught from MSC – certified fisheries.

The brand has been developed by Interquell GmbH, a compaby with over 50 years experience in the dog food market, who have collaborated with leading food experts and vets to create a premium dog food to suit all sizes, ages, tastes and feeding methods.

The Goood food range is available in five flavours (free range lamb, organic turkey, free range chicken and organic chicken and sustainable fish) in both dry biscuits and tinned wet food, along with dog treats. All the feed is grain free and contains only natural ingredients.

Hugo Griffiths, Director at Goood, said: “With dog food trends becoming more humanised, we realised the impact the industry is having on the environment. Animal welfare has been at the forefront of consumers mind in the grocery sector but not when it comes to dog food.

“Our mission at Goood is to create a dog food brand that not only puts animal welfare at the forefront but ensures there is no negative impact on the environment. We decided the only way forward was to be a fully carbon neutral brand, in fact we are going the extra mile and offsetting more CO2 than we produce. Everything we do has the environment in mind.”

Goood bags are also made from a special material that makes them extra recyclable. This means they can be remade as an entirely new product and not just thermally recycled for minimal energy.
